Mission Statement
The Hannibal Navies Foundation is dedicated to preparing inner-city students for post secondary success. The Foundation promotes, develops and implements programs that foster positive social, academic and physical development to enhance the lives of today’s youth. HNF Purpose & Vision The Hannibal Navies Foundation is a 501 (c)3 non-profit organization established in 2003 by former professional linebacker, Hannibal Navies. An avid believer in making a deposit into the community, Navies formed the foundation to cultivate successful, well-rounded student-athletes by providing applications for growth on and off the field. Who Benefits & Why Studies show that young people who participate in organized sports have greater academic success; more responsible behavior; confidence in their physical abilities; enhanced affinities for health and fitness; and strengthened social bonds with peers, adults and institutions. The programs and services of the Hannibal Navies Foundation are designed to foster those characteristics. Each of our leaders know first-hand that an appropriately administered youth sports program can promote healthy physical, mental, emotional, social, and academic development. The Foundation utilizes the fundamentals of football to encourage leadership, teamwork, goal-setting, responsibility, and perseverance in student-athletes at every level of experience. Our goal is to serve as a vehicle for helping Bay area youth develop into prepared, caring, responsible adults. HNF Educational Seminars and Football Camps have been sustained by the generosity and support of local and national corporations, private foundations and individuals who believe in our mission and our efforts. |
